Disadvantages of the Hyundai G6DG engine
- The most famous problem here is the oil burner due to the occurrence of piston rings;
- On specialized forums, they regularly complain about the rapid formation of carbon deposits on the intake valves;
- Watch the cooling system, the aluminum engine is very afraid of overheating;
- In the early years of production, the timing chain tensioner was changed very often under warranty;
- Since hydraulic lifters are not provided, valve clearances must be adjusted.
