Disadvantages of the GM LSY engine
- Motors of the first years of production were recalled to replace a defective temperature sensor;
- Like all direct injection engines, it suffers from carbon deposits on the intake valves;
- In comparison with its predecessor, the timing chain resource has grown and it serves up to 200,000 km;
- The rest of the complaints are related to noisy operation in some modes and oil leaks.
