Toyota Prius

The Toyota Prius is a Japanese hybrid vehicle in the Toyota Motor Corporation line. Manufactured in 1997. Translated from Latin, the name of the model means “the first, the original”. The car is driven by gasoline and electric motors. In Russia, cars were sold from 2009 to 2015. Sales then resumed in 2017. In 2015, the 4th generation of the model was launched. The car is manufactured in sedan, station wagon and hatchback body modifications.

Engine Toyota 1NZ-FXE

The 1.5-liter Toyota 1NZ-FXE engine has been produced since 1997 only in Japan. At first, it was installed only on the Prius, but then it spread to other hybrid models of the concern. The motor is equipped with a VVT-i phase regulator on the intake shaft and an ETCS-i electronic throttle.

Engine Toyota 2ZR-FXE

The 1.8-liter Toyota 2ZR-FXE engine has been assembled at the factories of the Japanese concern since 2009 and is installed on the hybrid versions of the Auris, Corolla and Lexus CT, but is best known for the Prius. In the Chinese market, it is offered under its own indexes 5ZR-FXE and 8ZR-FXE.
