Mitsubishi Grandis
The large minivan Mitsubishi Grandis was introduced in 2003 as a replacement for the Space Wagon model. The car was sold in Asia, Europe, South America, Australia. The machines were assembled not only in Japan, but also in Thailand and Taiwan.
Mitsubishi Grandis was equipped with a 2.4-liter gasoline engine with 165 hp paired with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. In Europe, some other markets also offered a variant with a Volkswagen turbodiesel with a volume of two liters and 136 hp, such cars were equipped with only a six-speed manual transmission.
The interior of the car could have six or seven seats. The minivan had front-wheel drive, but Japanese buyers could also purchase an all-wheel drive modification.
The production of minivans was finally completed in 2011; this model did not have a direct successor.
The 4G69 engine was the last in the famous Sirius series of the Mitsubishi concern. Its debut took place in 2003, and although after 2 years the Japanese auto giant replaced the engine with another, more modern one, its production did not stop completely.
