The Mercedes M112 E32 engine was developed in 1997 to replace the old E32 engine from the M104 series. The main difference between the new series and the old one was that now the motors became V-shaped with a breakup angle of 90 degrees.
The Chrysler Crossfire is a 2-door sports car built on the 1st generation German Mercedes-Benz R170 platform. Manufactured from 2003 to 2007 in collaboration with German and American manufacturers. The car was assembled at the German Karmann plant. The name of the car “crossfire” reflects its structure, style, and purpose – the conquest of car markets on both sides of the Atlantic: American and European. The model was also produced in the back of a convertible.
