Disadvantages of the VW CAXA engine

  • The most famous problem is the stretching of the timing chain even at low mileage.
  • Also, the electronic control valve or wastegate often fails in the turbine.
  • Pistons have poor knock resistance and crack from bad fuel.
  • When the partitions between the rings are destroyed, we recommend buying forged pistons.
  • From bad gasoline, carbon deposits form on the valves, which leads to loss of compression.
  • Owners regularly complain about antifreeze leaks and engine vibration during a cold start.
