The 1.2 TSI engine is a representative of the EA111 segment in many ways resembles the 1.4 TSI. However, the main distinguishing feature is the cylinder head modification. The 1.2 TSI version has an aluminum cylinder block with wet cast iron liners. The diameter of the piston group has been reduced to 71 mm (originally this figure was 76.5 mm).
