Engine Toyota 3GR-FE

The 3.0-liter V6 Toyota 3GR-FE engine was produced at the Chinese plant from 2003 to 2017 and was installed on local versions of the popular Crown and Reiz models, as well as the Lexus IS300 and GS300. This power unit was actively offered in the countries of Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

The engine was installed on:

  • Lexus IS300 2 (XE20) in 2007 – 2013; IS300C 2 (XE20) in 2009 – 2015;
  • Lexus GS300 3 (S190) in 2005 – 2011;
  • Toyota Crown 12 (S180) in 2003 – 2009; Crown 13 (S200) in 2009 – 2015;
  • Toyota Reiz 1 (X120) in 2005 – 2010; Reiz 2 (X130) in 2010 – 2017.

Disadvantages of the 3GR-FE engine

  • The well-known problem with the crackling of the phase regulators is fully present here.
  • Watch the cooling system, it breaks the gasket from any overheating.
  • The weak points of the engines of this family include ignition coils and a water pump.

    Hi please hilp me I am a mechanic in Afghanistan there is a 3gr engine have a problem crankshaft is not past the moblan on part oil pump can pass the five part oil but one of them is national pass the oil.
