Engine G4KD/4B11 under the hood

Engine Mitsubishi G4KD/4B11

The first batch of G4KD engines (the second name is 4B11) rolled off the assembly line in 2005. The joint production of Kia and Mitsubishi has ensured compatibility with many vehicles from these brands. The model is part of the Theta II family, which replaced the outdated Beta. It is recommended to use with 95th gasoline, but the engine is capable of “digesting” and 92nd. Since there are no hydraulic lifters in this model, when using 92nd gasoline every 90-100 thousand km, it is recommended to adjust the valves if a characteristic noise is heard.
