Disadvantages of the VW AGU engine

  • An engine turbocharger can fail very quickly with a clogged catalyst;
  • The crankcase ventilation system causes many problems, especially its often cracked pipes;
  • Due to air leaks in the intake manifold, the engine speed is constantly floating;
  • The oil pump and timing chain tensioner have a very limited resource here;
  • The cause of unstable engine operation is often a failure of the mass air flow sensor or coolant temperature sensor.
